Tony Fitzjohn George Adamson African Wildlife Preservation Trust
German born Moritz Borman has been living in Los Angeles since 1976. He is a graduate of the American Film Institute, produced and directed television commercials and in the late 1980s started to produce feature films. After taking a film production and international distribution company public in 2000, he returned to producing and film financing in 2006. He met Tony Fitzjohn in the early 1990s and has been chairman of the trust for 25 years.
A former Columbia Pictures executive, he became a lifelong entrepreneur having created such successful concepts as Camp Beverly Hills, a lifestyle clothing and accessories brand, Elixir Tonics & Teas, a natural health and wellness concept, an all-natural stress relief product and other ventures in the Hospitality sector. He met Tony Fitzjohn in 1989 and has been a board member ever since.
An attorney, Ms. Regnier is an active member of the state bar of California and various U.S. federal courts, and is also a co-founder of the natural food company The Pure Pantry. She served as the Wildlife Preservation Trust director since 1991 and has travelled throughout Africa the past 15 years. She is a founding member, treasurer and general counsel of the African Environmental Film Foundation, and a supportive partner to Kora, Mkomazi and other conservationist and environmental African projects.
Actress and movie icon Ali MacGraw has been a long-time supporter of Tony Fitzjohn and the work he does in Kora and Mkomazi National Park. Ali is an animal rights activist and a great friend to the TFGAAWPT.
A graduate of Columbia University. After graduation he spent more than two years in the Peace Corps in Brazil. In 1975 Bill moved to Los Angeles to study directing at the American Film Institute and has since become an award winning filmmaker. He has had two films at the Sundance Film Festival as a director and multiple films there as a producer, most recently Dirt! The Movie. The latter has been shown in film festivals around the world and was also the Independent Lens 2010 Earth Day Special on PBS. Benenson is a philanthropist and entrepreneur with projects ranging from TFGAAWPT to developing a high tech water conservation system for college dormitories.
An international lawyer who supports various wildlife, conservation and arts groups. He has travelled extensively throughout sub-Saharan Africa since 1983. He has been on the advisory board of the Sundance Film Festival, and since 1996 has been a UCLA assistant professor in the Theater, Film and Television program.
A retired Superior Court judge for the city and county of San Francisco. She has travelled extensively in Africa for over the past 20 years and also serves on the board of the African Environmental Film Foundation. She has visited Mkomazi and Tony Fitzjohn numerous times.
The founder of Holly Street Wealth Advisors, a Pasadena, California firm that offers financial planning and investment guidance to individuals, families and foundations. Tom worked for 25 years as a senior wealth advisor and private banker for some of the largest financial and investment firms in the world. Tom and his family live in Pasadena. He serves on the advisory board of the Rose Bowl Aquatic Center in Pasadena. In his spare time, he is an active age group triathlete and has competed in multiple Ironman distance triathlons.
