Ecosystem Preservation
An ecosystem is a complex web of interactions between habitat and inhabitants.
Each is affected by the other. Habitat is the foundation of every ecosystem, which is why the Trust invests critical resources in protecting the habitats on which animals are dependent for food and shelter.
The greatest threat to the ecosystems surrounding Kora and Mkomazi is human activity in the form of poaching, burning, hunting and poisoning. To combat this, Tony Fitzjohn and his teamwork in partnership with wildlife authorities in both Mkomazi National Park and Kora National Park protect these areas.
