Black Rhino The Black Rhino is a magnificent creature whose ancestors roamed the earth for 60 million years. Since 1970, when black rhinos numbered as many as 65,000 (with 10,000 in Tanzania), the population has dwindled to a
staggering 4,880 in the wild, with close to 110 in Tanzania.
The rhino’s downfall is directly related to the value of its horn.
